Luke Roberts checks out his SRAM Apex ‘Climbing Kit’ before tackling the Mortirolo.
SRAM’s new Apex Grupo got another round of testing at the Giro d’Italia on the famous climb of the Motirolo 2 days before the finish of the race. Milrams Luke Roberts and Robert Forster took Apex to the top of the Mortirolo and then again on the races penultimate stage over the Gavia Pass, the highest point of the Giro at 2618m. Apex took these climbs in its stride with the guys impressed with the smoothness of the shifting even up to the 32t cog. Luke even had a group of jealous guys standing behind him on the start line asking to swap bikes for the stage!

Apex loooks good and works great combined with Milrams SRAM Red Grupo.
Luke’s first look at Apex, you’d be smiling too if you just realized that the Mortirolo was going to be easy!
