SRAM’s efforts at the 2010 Tour de France include making sure our teams are properly equipped with our latest componentry, update media on new product, and keep everyone updated on SRAM specific activities via SRAM.com, www.theroaddiaries.com, facebook and twitter. So on one side we are supplying product to teams, on the other hand we are trying to tell the world all about it.
The core marketing team of Alex, Jason, Gaetan, and Michael will stay very active throughout the Tour, the four SRAM veterans have years of experience with teams, media, and what is needed to make it through the tremendous challenges of a three week Tour.
Check back here regularly for a lot of great Tech updates, bike overviews, product info, as well as the favorite behind the scenes reporting. Lot’s of great pics, some video, and words to keep you informed and hopefully give you some insight and keep the fun and fresh information rolling in.
Gaetan Vetois – the European PR pro speaks several languages and works with all of EU’s most popular road magazines and websites. Look for lots of great images from GV as he makes the rounds to SRAM’s seven teams at the Tour.
Jason Phillips – the former pro is our sponsor and tech liason for most of our larger European based squads. He is always in the background working with riders, mechanics, making sure it’s all good. ‘Bobby’ is a mechanic and friend to the some of the best, including Contador, Cancellara, and the Schleck brothers.
Alex Wassmann – ‘Wassy’ works alongside our biggest U.S. teams and makes sure the bikes and latest componentry is performing perfectly. He has been with SRAM for too many years to count and is one of the most trusted wrenches in the world, regularly spending time with Lance’s and Levi’s bikes.
Michael Zellmann – on the road team from the beginning, MZ will contribute a lot to the sites, all with a sense of humor and certainly an interest in going a little deeper. The U.S. based media man will spend time on camera, behind the camera, and in the trenches with the crews from VeloNews, PEZ, Cyclingnews, and Bicycling, to name a few.
