We got the chance for a brief interview with neo-pro Kaitlin Antonneau during the opening weekend of the USGP series just outside of Madison, WI, only minutes away from her hometown of Racine. As an intelligent, fast, and humble athlete, Antonneau has a great attitude and expects to learn “tons” from accomplished teammates Tim Johnson, Jeremy Powers, and Jamey Driscoll. She will also get the full support of manager Stu Thorne, who is thrilled to add a new dimension to the team and further develop one of the rising talents in US women’s cycling. Thorne said Antonneau turned heads with consistent finishes last season and expects, as does Kaitlin, top five finishes at events like the US Gran Prix of Cross. Kaitlin will focus on Cross, race primary U23 events, and continue her college racing career at cycling powerhouse Marian University, Indianapolis.
Best of luck to Kaitlin, we will try and get more time with her as the season rolls on.
