Cool as cool can be Peter Sagan awaits the start of stage two, literally with three jerseys - Leaders, Points, U23
After today’s stage four sprint into Clovis, CA, the incredibly impressive Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Cannondale) now has more wins at the ATOC (8) than any other rider. We spent a few minutes with him after stage three and, in his best English, spoke to what features he favors on his SRAM RED-2012 drivetrain. The all new lightweight leader from SRAM is designed for every type of rider, but in Sagan’s case he enjoys the advantage the ergonomic comfort at the levers, the speed of shifts (fastest there is), and the great braking control. We will post that interview as soon as its loaded, although you may have already seen it on the NBC Sports live coverage. In the meantime, a few behind the scenes shots with the rider who has taken personal ownership of the ATOC, holds at least three jerseys, and leads the General Classification heading into Thursday’s time trial.
