SRAM RED-2012 Favorites for LeTour

Vincenzo Nibali (Liquigas-Cannondale) has podiumed at the Giro and is having an incredible Spring. Ranked in the top 10 in the world currently and one of the most complete riders in the race

Each of the five teams racing SRAM at the 2012 Tour de France all have bona fide general classification (GC) contenders. While some sit atop the short list of media favorites, several we fully expect to surprise during their three weeks in France. This is the short list of riders on SRAM RED-2012 and SRAM Black RED edition who we see in the battle for yellow. We’re pretty certain there will be many surprises at this year’s race, and as fans we are of course looking forward to the start in Liege this Saturday.

Chris Anker-Sorensen (Team Saxo bank-Tinkoff Bank) a gifted climber who could do some damage when the road tilts up

Janez Brajkovic (Astana Cycling Team) can climb and TT, he

Peter Velits (Omega Pharma-Quick-Step Cycling Team) won the 2012 Tour of Oman and finished 19th at the 2011 Tour

Nicholas Roche (AG2R-La Mondiale) has been in the top 10 previously, and the French love him!

Levi Leipheimer (Omega Pharma-Quick-Step) one word: EXPERIENCE (has anyone noticed the helicopter in the last two images?)

Jean-Christophe Peraud (AG2R-La Mondiale) finished 9th last year...top five in 2012?
