What else can you say about Peter Sagan – three stage wins, a Green jersey, and a very cool no-handed wheelie at the finish of stage seven – awesome pretty much sums it up. The humble 22-year-old rode three SRAM RED-2012 equipped Cannondale SuperSix EVO bikes at this year’s Tour, starting with his team issue bike, then a custom painted “Tourminator” after his first stage win, and finally the “Green Machine” for the final stage.
Sagan’s Green Machine’s RED-2012 gruppo was accented with a custom “beserker” green (instead of the standard SRAM color, PMS 186). The gruppo was hand delivered the final Friday of the Tour, July 20, by SRAM’s Jason Phillips. The green accented RED-2012 will only be available for select 2014 Cannondale road bikes.
The Cannondale SuperSix EVO’s were SRAM RED-2012 equipped, including:
SRAM RED-2012 ErgoDynamic DoubleTap shift levers
SRAM RED-2012 rear derailleur
SRAM RED-2012 YAW front derailleur
SRAM XG 1090 cassettes
SRAM PC 1091R chain
SRAM RED-2012 Aerolink brake calipers
SRAM Professional Cable System by Gore RideOn
