SRAM Men Sweep USGP Series

Powers (not pictured and represented by Rapha marketeer Slate Olsen behind the winners plaque), Trebon and Johnson go 1-2-3 in the USGP series.

Holding the final top three positions in the elite men’s category at the US Gran Prix (USGP) of Cyclocross continues the season-long testimony that SRAM is the componentry choice for Cross. Jeremy Powers (Rapha-Focus), Ryan Trebon and Tim Johnson (both went 1-2-3 in the overall after the four stop, eight race series concluded this past weekend.

Jeremy Powers, who chose not to race the finals stop in Bend, OR, had the series locked up after winning five of the first six. Instead, Powers decided to continue his World’s preparation on the East coast. Powers listed the USGP Series overall as one of his early season goals, along with a National Championship repeat and a podium place at the World CX Championships.

Regarding the final race weekend in his hometown and taking a first (Saturday) and second, Trebon said he loves racing and winning in front of his hometown crowd, “A lot of these people know me, and I’d hate to come out here and be terrible, so the getting a win was great in front of so many friends.”

Congratulations to all three SRAM RED riders. All three also run Avid BB7 RSL brakes. Trebon and Johnson also run Zipp wheels, as well as Zipp Service Course bar, stem, and seat post.
