SRAM RED – the World’s Fastest – on either side of the Ocean

Mark Cavendish (Omega Pharma-Quick-Step Pro Cycling) won five stages of the 2013 Giro d’Italia on his Specialized McLaren Venge. Peter Sagan (Cannondale Pro Cycling Team) took two solid victories on his Cannondale SuperSix Evo at the Amgen Tour of California. Thanks to their talent, their teammates, and confidence in their machines, both out-classed the competition at two of the world’s premiere stage races.

At the Amgen Tour of California (USA) riders suffered in the heat, with temperatures reaching over 40°C (110°F degrees). In total contrast, the Giro field faced freezing temperatures, rain and even snow. The contrast was stark.

Different races, different riders, different teams, different weather conditions… but ONE common element: SRAM RED. SRAM RED is defined by its speed, robustness, comfort, light weight, with the singular purpose of guiding the world’s fastest riders to the finish.
