Most of the Cannondale/Cyclocrossworld.com’s success can be traced to their riders, some to their choice of equipment, but certainly a fair share must go to the man who maintains the team’s bikes, Director Stu Thorne. If you’ve ever walked by the Cannondale team truck you will see their cross bikes lined up and all the bikes look (and perform) like new. I assure you that each team bike has been raced in brutal conditions and completely covered in mud, dirt, sand, grit, snow, and anything else that you can …

Meredith Miller may be a more familiar name from her stellar accomplishments on her road bike, she’s your current US National Road Champ (w/SRAM sponsored Team TIBCO), but she’s making a name for herself on the ‘cross bike as well. After a fantastic rookie year last year, Meredith is coming into form nicely this year with her CalGiant cyclocross team. She calls Fort Collins …

Compton’s power on the Cross bike is easy to spot from a 100 yards away
The second day of racing in the Boulder, CO, area brought riders to the Boulder Res, which was flat and fast with a long/deep sand pit. The weather was perfect for racing and none of the heavy snow that fell on Boulder this week was visible or had any affect on conditions As is always the case all the pro bikes had no signs of the mud that caked their bikes after yesterday’s event in Longmont. …

Jamey Driscol races for the Cannondale/Cyclocrossworld.com team and is a two-time collegiate national champion. We caught up with him at the last US Gran Prix of Cyclocross race in Louisville, KY, and took some pics of his 2010 SRAM RED-equipped CAAD 9 CX bike with all the trimmings. Zdenek Stybar is the rock solid performer so far in this season’s European Cyclo Cross calender. With 2 wins and podium finishes in every race he has competed in, Styby has shown great strength and consistency. Stybar is currently sitting 2nd in the UCI World Cup and 3rd in both the GvA Trophy and the Super Prestige series. His battles with World Champion Niels Albert and Cross Legend Sven Nys so far have shown that these guys have left the rest of the World’s elite riders trailling. With the World …

While perhaps the most fun, this is likely the least informative interview ever to be posted here on TRD, I take full blame. I was able to catch up with Cross Vegas winner Jamie Driscoll and USGP #1 winner (DJ) Jeremy Powers (both Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com). the interview was on the heels of Powers first USGP win ahead of a loaded Cross field that included his breakaway partners, whom he eventually dropped, Erwin Vervecken (Revor-Baboco-Champion System) and Jonathon Page (Planet Bike).
The SRAM RED equipped duo have taken …

Zdenek Stybar ttraining for the CX Season
The Telenet-Fidea Cyclo Cross Team are about to start their 2nd season of racing on SRAM Red and I decided to join the guys for a day of training in Belgium during the 1st week of the season. Telenet-Fidea is the world’s top Cross team and with stars like Bart Wellens, Zdenek Stybar and Kevin Pauwels they are always in the thick of the action and fighting for the biggest wins all winter. Besides the heavy race program the team meets every week to train together and they …

SRAM had a great World Championship in The Netherlands this weekend, in particular our young riders put on a great show, narrowly missing out on the wins. Zdenek Stybar came up against the entire Belgian team and almost took home the3 rainbow jersey. Styby dropped Sven Nys from his back wheel as he tried to catch the winner Niels Albert (Bel) who managed to hold on and ride away to an amazing victory.

In the U/23 race Philip Walsleben (Ger) was untouchable but Christoph Pfingsten (Ger) on …
